How to get your data out of closed gardens.

Conversion Matrix

Every source × target the app supports, in one place:

From ↓ / To → ENEX (Apple Notes / Evernote) Markdown (Obsidian / Notion) JSON
Google Keep (JSON / HTML)
Notion (Markdown + CSV)
Evernote (.enex)
Markdown / Obsidian
JSON (raw)
PDF (.pdf)

Google Keep

  1. Go to Google Takeout.
  2. Click "Deselect all".
  3. Scroll down and check Keep.
  4. Click "Next step" → "Create export".
  5. Download the .zip file.

Notion

  1. Open your Notion Workspace.
  2. Go to Settings & MembersSettings.
  3. Scroll to "Export content" → "Export all workspace content".
  4. Select format: Markdown & CSV.

PDF Notes

  1. No export step needed — just drop your .pdf files into the upload area.
  2. One note per file. Multi-page PDFs become a single note with one <h2>Page N</h2> per page.
  3. Text extraction runs entirely in your browser. PDFs stay on your device — no server upload.
  4. For best results, use text-based PDFs. Scanned (image-only) PDFs need OCR first; try an external tool like OCRmyPDF, then re-import.

Apple Notes (Importing)

  1. Convert your files to Evernote (.enex) using this tool.
  2. Open Apple Notes on Mac.
  3. File → Import to Notes...
  4. Select the .enex file.
